Welcome to Binda Mill Cottage

Welcome to Binda Mill Cottage

Binda Mill Cottage is a delightful B & B for a weekend, a midweek break or a longer holiday stay. It is only two and a half hours easy drive from Sydney and an hour and a half from Canberra, and is the perfect place to spend time with friends or family.

You can experience the four seasons in the delightful village of Binda on top of the Great Dividing Range. Binda Mill Cottage is a 156-year-old stone cottage with all the atmosphere you expect in such an historic building. Built around 1850 by the local grain miller, George King, the cottage has been completely restored and extended, creating a luxurious yet welcoming escape from the city.

The cottage is nestled in an award-winning two acre garden designed by Michael Bligh and features plantings by Jennie Churchill. It is perfectly placed for exploring the delights of the Southern Tablelands and Canberra.

Our award winning garden

The cottage is cool in summer and as warm as toast in winter (centrally heated, double glazed windows and a slow combustion wood fire in the lounge room). You can read, relax and cook, or explore the region with some lovely walks, drives and many places to explore and conveniently close to Pine Bluff.

Dine by moonlight under millions of stars on warmer evenings, or by candlelight inside as Jack Frost pays a visit – you may even see snow falling. For those who see cooking as part of the journey, the kitchen is superbly fitted out and you will enjoy the space, with large windows overlooking the pond and garden.
