Situated at the western end of the cottage, Mary's room has the ability to be closed off from the rest of the cottage for privacy and has its own en-suite bathroom.
There is a luxurious queen sized bed fitted with crisp white linen and fluffy pillows for you to to snuggle into for a good night's sleep. The stone walls create an atmosphere of warmth and romance.
There is also a delightful "Juliet" verandah, a perfect place to sip that glass of wine or a gin and tonic whilst watching the late afternoon sun slip slowly down behind the gently rolling hills. |

|
The middle of the cottage has a larger bedroom, complete with luxurious queen sized bed and also a double bed fold out sofa, ideal for children. Stone walls again create that lovely warm ambience steeped in history. |

Living areas
The cottage has two living areas: a cosy lounge room with a lovely wood heater in the original stone fireplace, and a long, enclosed, light-filled verandah – perfect for curling up with a good book or enjoying brunch while looking out onto the delightful garden.
There are two flat screen televisions, a DVD player and a CD/radio stereo.
For much of the year, the weather in the Southern Tablelands can be the most delightful in Australia: warm, sunny, calm and not at all humid. It is perfect for enjoying a BBQ on the deck, next to the pond. |

Kitchen and food
Breakfast for you to cook is provided, always with fresh local eggs and local produce when available. Of course there is plenty of cereals, marmalade, jams, plunger coffee, tea, bread and milk.
The pantry is also stocked with some condiments, but if you are planning to cook something special we suggest you bring what you need just to be sure.
Crookwell, about fifteen minutes' drive away, has butchers and a well-stocked supermarket, along with a very good bottle shop. The Crookwell Visitors' Centre also stocks some delicious food products from the region.
You will enjoy drinking, cooking with and bathing in our pure, beautiful, cool mountain rainwater, stored underground in new concrete tanks. We have enough to supply the reasonable needs of guests, but please don't waste it!

The garden
Designed by Michael Bligh and with plantings by Jennie Churchill, two acres surrounding the Binda Mill Cottage have been transformed from a tussock-strewn sheep paddock to a lovely 'four seasons' garden. In the garden you will find a small pond and jetty and many peaceful spots to sit and read or to simply stroll and enjoy the many plants, trees and roses.
The garden is beautiful at any time of the year. |
